Distance Learning

Welcome to Distance Learning at Mercer University  

As a university committed to excellence and innovation, Mercer offers a number of distance learning courses and programs in order to make the University accessible to more students. Each college and school at Mercer ensures that faculty members who teach distance learning courses have extensive knowledge of distance teaching and learning.

Distance learning is when the majority (more than 50%) of the instruction occurs when the student(s) and instructor(s) are not in the same place.  Fully online programs and courses are taught 100% online and do not require on-campus class meetings. Blended programs and courses meet on-campus and online and offer a blend of the two environments.  Both online and blended courses may require regularly scheduled virtual class meetings and/or proctored final exams.
