Welcome to Distance Learning at Mercer University
As a university committed to excellence and innovation, Mercer offers a limited number of distance learning courses and programs in order to make the University accessible to more students. Each college/school at Mercer ensures that faculty members who teach distance learning courses have extensive knowledge of distance teaching and learning.
Distance learning is when the majority (more than 50%) of the instruction occurs when the student(s) and instructor(s) are not in the same place. Fully online programs and courses are taught 100% online and do not require on-campus class meetings. Hybrid programs and courses meet on-campus and online and offer a blend of the two environments. Both online and hybrid courses may require regularly scheduled virtual class meetings or proctored final exams.
